Our half-day tour of the Sydney Heritage Fleet commenced with morning tea aboard the beautifully restored sailing barque James Craig, ( built in 1874 and restored at a cost of $30 million) followed by a guided tour of the ship. In pouring rain the launch James Harman took us past numerous points of interest in the Harbour to the Fleet’s workshops in Rozelle Bay where a team of volunteers, including our own Ian Lucas, are busy restoring and maintaining the fFeet’s collection of heritage ships and boats. This fascinating tour finished in broad sunlight with fish and chips at Yots Café in the National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour.
