46 Members and guests visited the Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre ( SCIC ) at the Old Gladesville Hospital to hear a fascinating talk - more a question and answer session - run by Bart Cavalletto, Director of Services, covering hearing impairment, hearing devices and particularly Cochlear implants. This was followed by a guided tour of the Centre’s facilities.
A five course Italian lunch at the Italian Forum, Leichhardt was provided by the hugely entertaining Lilly Sweet who regaled us with stories of the murky history of the now rather down in the mouth Italian Forum.
